How did you start BBQing?
In 2006 Darrin Earley told Dave Yerzy that he heard
there was a BBQ competition in Ottawa. What started
out as a lark took on a life of its own when we won
third place for chicken and first place for brisket at our
very first competition. We had no idea we could win
anything! We had no clue the Canadian Barbecue
Association were actually handing out trophies too!

Where have you guys been so far?
Since 2006 we have travelled far and wide eating and
cooking BBQ. We have been to Georgia, Arkansas,
Florida, New York, Alabama, Tennessee, North
Carolina, South Carolina and of course all over
Ontario. We have eaten some really great BBQ and
some really bad BBQ. We have met some great BBQ
cooks and cooked on a lot of different smokers. It has
been a helluva adventure and its not over yet.
